“BUFFALO MY CITY” The artwork contained in this web site is courtesy of Dr. V. Roger Lalli, the artist, and Boncraft Printing, publisher of Dr. Lalli’s works. Career Partners International, LLC/RW Caldwell Associates, Inc. thanks both Dr. Lalli and Boncraft for permission to highlight these beautiful watercolors.
In 1989, Dr. Lalli, a retired educator and lifelong resident of Buffalo, concluded that he could best express his admiration for his hometown by painting a series of watercolors devoted to architectural scenes that characterize “his city.” Dr. Lalli has termed his genre paintings and transparent or “pristine” watercolor process as “photo-realism” and he is undisputedly a master of the transparent watercolor technique. The forty-two subjects chosen for the “Buffalo My City” watercolor series, which must be presently standing, are all found within the forty-two square miles of Buffalo’s city limits.
Twenty-one of Dr. Lalli’s watercolors were selected for this web site. For a complete representation of all current watercolors by Dr. Lalli, please visit: http://www.ci.buffalo.ny.us/document_376_58.html
